Where you’ll sit your exams

Our Hull centre is easily accessible for drivers across Hull and East Yorkshire. Your ADR training is completed online over Zoom, so you only need to travel to the Hull centre for one day — the final day of your course — to complete your practical demonstrations and sit your ADR examinations. Full confirmation, including course details, structure and instructions on how to attend online, will be sent once you book.

By bus: City buses serve Chanterlands Avenue from Hull city centre

By car

Chanterlands Avenue runs north from Spring Bank West in west Hull. The sports club is on Chanterlands Avenue.

From the A63/Clive Sullivan Way: follow signs for the city centre, then take Spring Bank and Spring Bank West heading west before turning north onto Chanterlands Avenue.
From Beverley: take the A164/A1079 towards Hull, joining the outer ring and approaching Chanterlands Avenue from Cottingham Road.
From the Humber Bridge and Lincolnshire: cross the bridge and follow the A63 east towards the city, then head north via Calvert Lane or Spring Bank West to Chanterlands Avenue.

By rail & bus

Hull Paragon Interchange, the city’s combined rail and bus station, is around two miles away, with direct Hull Trains and LNER services from London plus TransPennine and Northern connections. From Paragon the venue is a short taxi or bus ride up Spring Bank. Check the latest timetables on National Rail before travelling.

Stagecoach and EYMS buses serve Chanterlands Avenue and the surrounding Avenues area from the city centre. Routes and frequencies change, so please check Traveline or the operator’s timetable before travelling on your exam day.

What time do I have to arrive at the Hull centre?

Please arrive at the Hull centre by 09:15am on your exam day. You will first complete the practical demonstrations, including chest compressions and handling a fire extinguisher, shortly followed by sitting your ADR exams.

No. Your ADR training is delivered online over Zoom. You only attend the Hull centre in person to complete your practical demonstrations and sit your ADR examinations on the final day of the course, with results available instantly after each exam.

What should I bring to my ADR exam in Hull?

You are required to bring your ID (Driving Licence, ADR Licence, DQC or Passport). You also need to bring your registration form with an attached photograph and the worksheets completed during the course.
