Enterprise Transport Training runs ADR courses for drivers across Cardiff, Newport and South Wales. Your ADR training is delivered online over Zoom, and you then attend our Cardiff centre in person to sit your ADR examinations on the final day, with results available instantly after each exam.
The Cardiff centre is located in St Fagans on the western edge of the city, close to the M4 and A4232, and is easily accessible for drivers based in Cardiff, Newport, Barry, Bridgend and the surrounding South Wales area. As the course training is completed online, you only need to travel to Cardiff for one day to complete your practical demonstrations and ADR examinations, making the centre a practical option for drivers travelling from further afield.

How to find us
By car
St Fagans is on the western edge of Cardiff, a short drive from the M4 via the A4232 and the Culverhouse Cross interchange. The signed routes for St Fagans lead into the village, and the village hall is on Crofft-Y-Genau Road.
- From central Cardiff: head west along Cowbridge Road (A48) towards Culverhouse Cross, then follow the signs for St Fagans through Michaelston-super-Ely into the village.
- From the M4: leave at Junction 33 and take the A4232 south, then follow the signs for St Fagans at the signed exit.
- From Barry and the Vale of Glamorgan: head north to the Culverhouse Cross interchange on the A4050, then follow the St Fagans signs into the village.
By rail
Cardiff Central is the nearest major station, with frequent services from across South Wales and beyond; the venue is then a taxi ride of around five miles west. Waun-gron Park and Fairwater, on Cardiff’s City Line, are closer suburban stations but still leave an onward taxi or bus journey. Check the latest timetables on National Rail and allow time to cross the city for your exam start.
By bus
Cardiff Bus services run between the city centre and St Fagans, serving the museum and village. Routes and frequencies change, so please check Traveline Cymru or the operator’s timetable before travelling on your exam day.

Yes. Shared car park available with the Plymouth Arms. Please register your vehicle inside the hall on arrival.
What time do I have to arrive at the Cardiff centre?
Please arrive at the Cardiff centre by 08:15am on your exam day. You will first complete the practical demonstrations, including chest compressions and handling a fire extinguisher, shortly followed by sitting your ADR exams.

No. Your ADR training is delivered online over Zoom. You only attend the Cardiff centre in person to complete your practical demonstrations and sit your ADR examinations on the final day of the course, with results available instantly after each exam.
What should I bring to my ADR exam in Cardiff?
You are required to bring your ID (Driving Licence, ADR Licence, DQC or Passport). You also need to bring your registration form with an attached photograph and the worksheets completed during the course.
What if I cannot find a suitable course date at Cardiff?
