HIAB Licence – ITSSAR Accredited Training
HIAB training courses teach drivers to load and offload the platform to which the HIAB crane is attached, commonly a lorry hence the name Lorry Mounted Loader. This can be done by way of the operator controls on the vehicle or remotely.
Candidates on HIAB training courses learn safety and responsibility, gaining a deep understanding of HIAB crane operation.
Enterprise Transport Training offers a 1 or 2-day ITSSAR accredited course teaching the basics for the safe operation of lorry-mounted cranes. The length of the course depends on your experience operating a HIAB crane.
ITSSAR is an HSE-accredited training organisation with a long history of leading standard settings within the material handling equipment (MHE) industry. ITSSAR accreditation ensures you receive the highest quality training.
Successful Lorry Loader course candidates receive a HIAB operator training certificate and ID badge. The cost includes entry onto the Trained Operator Passport Scheme (TOPS).
Upon the formation of the Accrediting Bodies Association, it was agreed that training organisations would register candidates on mandatory databases for all trained Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) and Workplace Transport Operators. Each accrediting body maintains its own register of approved operatives. ITSSAR’s is TOPS.
Candidates are issued a unique TOPS ID number which will remain with the operator for life.
This scheme allows easy validation and verification of training undertaken.
