Where you’ll sit your exams

Our Leeds centre is easily accessible for drivers across Leeds and West Yorkshire. Your ADR training is completed online over Zoom, so you only need to travel to the Leeds centre for one day — the final day of your course — to complete your practical demonstrations and sit your ADR examinations. Full confirmation, including course details, structure and instructions on how to attend online, will be sent once you book.

By rail: Leeds station, around a mile and a half away, then a short taxi or a Dewsbury Road bus

By bus: Frequent buses run along Dewsbury Road from Leeds city centre, stopping close to Tunstall Road

By car

Tunstall Road is off the A653 Dewsbury Road on the south side of Leeds, close to the M621. The business centre is on Tunstall Road.

  • From the M62 and M1: join the M621 towards Leeds and leave at Junction 2 or 3, picking up Dewsbury Road (A653) and turning onto Tunstall Road.
  • From Leeds city centre: head south over the river on the A653 Dewsbury Road for about a mile, turning left onto Tunstall Road.
  • From Wakefield: take the A61 or M1 north towards Leeds, joining the M621 and exiting for Dewsbury Road.

By rail & bus

Leeds station is around a mile and a half away, one of the busiest stations in the North with fast connections across the country. From the station the venue is a short taxi ride, or a bus down Dewsbury Road. Check the latest timetables on National Rail before travelling.

Frequent buses run along Dewsbury Road from Leeds city centre, stopping close to Tunstall Road. Routes and frequencies change, so please check the West Yorkshire Metro or Traveline site before travelling on your exam day.

No. Your ADR training is delivered online over Zoom. You only attend the Leeds centre in person to complete your practical demonstrations and sit your ADR examinations on the final day of the course, with results available instantly after each exam.
What should I bring to my ADR exam in Leeds?
You are required to bring your ID (Driving Licence, ADR Licence, DQC or Passport). You also need to bring your registration form with an attached photograph and the worksheets completed during the course.
