Where you’ll sit your exams

Our Glasgow centre is easily accessible for drivers across Glasgow and the west of Scotland. Your ADR training is completed online over Zoom, so you only need to travel to the Glasgow centre for one day — the final day of your course — to complete your practical demonstrations and sit your ADR examinations. Full confirmation, including course details, structure and instructions on how to attend online, will be sent once you book.

By bus: Frequent buses run along London Road through Bridgeton Cross

By car

Bridgeton is in Glasgow’s East End, just east of the city centre. Brook Street runs between London Road and Glasgow Green, close to Bridgeton Cross.

  • From the M8 and city centre: leave the motorway for the city centre and follow London Road (A74) east towards Bridgeton Cross; Brook Street is off London Road close to the Cross.
  • From the M74: leave at Junction 1A and follow signs for the East End and Dalmarnock, heading north towards Bridgeton Cross and London Road.
  • From Edinburgh and the east: take the M8 west into Glasgow and exit for the East End/London Road, following the A74 to Bridgeton.

By rail & bus

Bridgeton station, on Glasgow’s low-level Argyle line, is a short walk from Brook Street, with frequent trains through Glasgow Central Low Level. Dalmarnock station is also close by. From Glasgow Central or Queen Street, the venue is a few minutes by train or taxi. Check ScotRail for the latest timetables before travelling.

First Glasgow and other operators run frequent services along London Road and through Bridgeton Cross. Routes and frequencies change, so please check Traveline Scotland before travelling on your exam day.

Your exam day
What time do I have to arrive at the Glasgow centre?
Please arrive at the Glasgow centre by 08:15am on your exam day. You will first complete the practical demonstrations, including chest compressions and handling a fire extinguisher, shortly followed by sitting your ADR exams.
Do I attend the Glasgow centre for the whole ADR course?
No. Your ADR training is delivered online over Zoom. You only attend the Glasgow centre in person to complete your practical demonstrations and sit your ADR examinations on the final day of the course, with results available instantly after each exam.
What should I bring to my ADR exam in Glasgow?
You are required to bring your ID (Driving Licence, ADR Licence, DQC or Passport). You also need to bring your registration form with an attached photograph and the worksheets completed during the course.
