Our Middlesbrough centre is easily accessible for drivers across Middlesbrough and Teesside. Your ADR training is completed online over Zoom, so you only need to travel to the Middlesbrough centre for one day — the final day of your course — to complete your practical demonstrations and sit your ADR examinations. By car

North Street is in Middlesbrough’s old town near the riverside, a short distance north of the town centre and close to the Transporter Bridge.

  • From the A19: join the A66 eastbound towards Middlesbrough, exit for the town centre/riverside and follow signs towards the Transporter Bridge; North Street is in the old town just south of the river.
  • From Stockton and Darlington: take the A66 east, leaving at the Middlesbrough town centre exits for the riverside area.
  • From Redcar and East Cleveland: follow the A66 or A1085 west into Middlesbrough and head north through the centre towards the river.

By rail & bus

Middlesbrough station is around half a mile away – an easy walk – with TransPennine services to York and Manchester Airport, Northern services across the North East and Grand Central trains to London. Check the latest timetables on National Rail before travelling.

Middlesbrough bus station is also within walking distance, with services from across Teesside. Routes and frequencies change, so please check Traveline before travelling on your exam day.
