Where you’ll sit your exams

Our Exeter centre is easily accessible for drivers across Exeter, Devon and the South West. Your ADR training is completed online over Zoom, so you only need to travel to the Exeter centre for one day — the final day of your course — to complete your practical demonstrations and sit your ADR examinations. Full confirmation, including course details, structure and instructions on how to attend online, will be sent once you book.

  • From the M5: leave at Junction 29 or 30 and follow signs into Exeter for the EX2 8HF postcode.
  • From Plymouth and Cornwall: follow the A38 towards Exeter, then join the M5 for the city.
  • From the A30: head into Exeter and follow signs towards the EX2 area and Thorverton Road.

By rail & bus

Exeter St Davids and Exeter Central are the main stations, with GWR and CrossCountry services across Devon and beyond. From either station the venue is a short taxi ride. Check the latest timetables on National Rail before travelling.

Local buses serve the area from Exeter city centre. Routes and frequencies change, so please check Stagecoach South West or Traveline before travelling on your exam day.

What should I bring to my ADR exam in Exeter?
You are required to bring your ID (Driving Licence, ADR Licence, DQC or Passport). You also need to bring your registration form with an attached photograph and the worksheets completed during the course.
