Where you’ll sit your exams

Our Swansea centre is easily accessible for drivers across Swansea, Neath and South West Wales. Your ADR training is completed online over Zoom, so you only need to travel to the Swansea centre for one day — the final day of your course — to complete your practical demonstrations and sit your ADR examinations. Full confirmation, including course details, structure and instructions on how to attend online, will be sent once you book.

The Mercure Swansea Hotel is on Phoenix Way in Swansea Enterprise Park at Llansamlet, close to M4 Junction 44.

  • From the M4: leave at Junction 44 and follow signs for Llansamlet and Swansea Enterprise Park, then Phoenix Way.
  • From Swansea city centre: head north-east on the A4067 or A48 towards Llansamlet and Swansea Enterprise Park.
  • From Neath and Port Talbot: follow the A48 or M4 towards Junction 44 and Swansea Enterprise Park.

By rail & bus

Llansamlet station is nearby on the Swansea District line, though services are limited. Swansea is the main hub, with fast GWR and Transport for Wales services. From either the venue is a short taxi ride to Swansea Enterprise Park. Check the latest timetables on National Rail before travelling.

Bus services serve Swansea Enterprise Park from the city centre. Routes and frequencies change, so please check Traveline Cymru or the operator’s timetable before travelling on your exam day.

What time do I have to arrive at the Swansea centre?
Please arrive at the Swansea centre by 08:15am on your exam day. You will first complete the practical demonstrations, including chest compressions and handling a fire extinguisher, shortly followed by sitting your ADR exams.

No. Your ADR training is delivered online over Zoom. You only attend the Swansea centre in person to complete your practical demonstrations and sit your ADR examinations on the final day of the course, with results available instantly after each exam.
What should I bring to my ADR exam in Swansea?
You are required to bring your ID (Driving Licence, ADR Licence, DQC or Passport). You also need to bring your registration form with an attached photograph and the worksheets completed during the course.
